Quality Assessment & Control

A complete professional package backed by expert computerized estimates and designs, time-tested quality materials, and skilled craftsmen are the most important aspects in Korellis projects. It is the pivot point for precise cost estimates and allows our team to offer quality solutions to challenging roofing projects.

Korellis technicians are committed to quality management and best practices. They work closely with building owners, architects, and/or engineers from the beginning to provide a detailed, written report outlining the project before it begins. The result - a sound, high quality roof with no cost surprises at the end.

Technology & Experience

Being in business for over four decades is only a small part of our overall experience. Korellis has installed millions of square feet of roofing systems. Under difficult conditions, often on projects with structural deck replacements, severe slopes, and poor logistics, work has been completed cost effectively and safely.

But, Korellis' real advantage comes from staying on the cutting edge of roofing technology. We keep on top of the new product research and select tested, state-of-the-art materials to add longer life and cost savings to your project. Computer-assisted design programs are used, not only to lay out drawings for roofs of complex shapes and sizes, but also to feed data to computerized state of the art fabrication equipment to produce custom sheet metal work. If it can be drawn on paper, Korellis' Sheet Metal Department can fabricate it!

It's no wonder that Korellis Roofing, Inc. has worked for some of the largest and most established companies in Indiana and Illinois.

Quality People

Our sound management team and skilled craftsmen take pride in their work. Korellis' formula for total quality begins at the top with an in-house safety manager who understands the need for EPA and OSHA compliance to preserve environmental quality and on-the-job safety. Korellis' craftsmen complete a four-year apprenticeship program designed to teach and keep exceptional field force personnel.

Korellis' hands-on management team and skilled craftsmen produce quality roofs.

For our efforts in this vital area, Korellis has repeatedly been chosen winner of the Firestone Master Contractor Award as well as the Inner Circle of Quality Award which is presented to only 150 contractors in North America.

Repair & Maintenance

Weather emergencies… disasters… whatever the situation, Korellis' specialized maintenance crews are a phone call away. In communication via cellular phones, 2-way radios, and pages 24-hours a day, 7 days a week - our mobile service fleet is the largest in Northwest Indiana. Our roofing professionals are capable of repairing almost any type of roofing system. Service crews can be on-site within minutes to pinpoint problems, offer cost-effective solutions, and begin work immediately.

Korellis also offers ongoing maintenance service to assess and correct problems before they become major cost items. Detailed reports and corrective options offer savings alternatives to premature costly roof replacement.

Philosophy

Korellis Roofing understands that the success of a project begins with selecting the best professional roofing contractor. At Korellis, our responsibility is to examine your roofing needs, provide alternative solutions and install the right roof to meet your requirements and budget. Safety Although many contractors profess to be safety conscious - Korellis' record and performance speak for themselves. The Korellis Safety Program includes:

  • a full-time safety manager
  • a safety committee, made up of management and field personnel, meets monthly to keep abreast of new rules and procedures
  • employee drug testing program
  • monthly company-wide safety meetings held to review any accidents or "close-calls" and establish procedures to avoid future mishaps
  • weekly job-site tool box talks
  • training to keep up-to-date on OSHA requirements
  • OSHA 10 hour training for all workers
  • Doppler Weather System monitoring sudden weather changes

Challenges Where no job is too big…or too complicated. What do you do when you have a factory with a 50,000 sq. ft. roof that needs total replacing including all of the structural steel decking - yet has to stay fully operational around-the-clock during the entire project? Easco Aluminum of Dolton, Illinois, was faced with that very problem. Their answer…Korellis Roofing!

Korellis reviewed the challenges and came up with a unique, economical plan that met Easco's operational demands. To accomplish this, Korellis designed special tools to speed removal of the old structural steel decking. Safety harness hook-ups, a full-time on-site Safety Specialist and a coordinated in-and-out traffic flow program allowed Korellis to remove debris through access points created in the roof over isolated areas of the plant. Korellis even used lightweight, all-terrain vehicles designed expressly to move materials around the roof more efficiently.

In the end, Korellis Roofing professionals used their proven expertise and these innovations to install a new 22-gauge steel roof decking, rigid roof insulation and a new 60-mil low sloped fire retardant membrane roof that met all of Factory Mutual's Insurance approvals, without losing a day of operation for Easco Aluminum.

For Korellis Roofing it was another difficult job done well!
